Hi bud, you will enjoy Six Days Crazy Job. I rode expert solo class in 2019 it was very tough in places. A proper adventure with just about zero track marking so GPS skills are a must. Good luck guys.
Cheers Robbo, yeah I watched your series looks great. Excited with the GPS stuff cause I’m pretty handy with them. Weather looks crazy hot there though, hopefully a bit cooler up the mountains. Cheers.
@@HardEnduroAddict I’ll be watching 👍🏻
This year will be different, we will try to have it marked profusely and cleaned perfectly
The problem with videos like this is the comment section
Nice
What an adventure! 👊
First comment in 16 years lol , nice wheelie. Cheers from New Zealand
Your last comment in the video is spot on. I have a ‘21 Husky 701 with the same forks. I took mine apart with 12k miles on them and the seals and bushings were all perfect. Spring rate is ok for me, so I decided to dig into the funky valving of the xplor fork. I can’t figure out why they did it, but the left fork with the “pseudo” compression adjust valve is a joke. It does nothing. Ditch the xplor valve, and convert to Open Cartridge traditional fork valving. It’s a bit of work, since the stock valving is all jacked up due to the left side xplor valve doing nothing. But by replicating the right side damper, and installing some appropriate valve shims, you can reach a much happier place.
🤣🤣🤣 how do i start this thing
Cool vid Burnsy, bet the 300 will feel light after riding this thing
cheers Daz, yeah love jumping back on the small bikes after Adv riding, like riding a BMX hha
10:37 are you a Welsh man in Australia ,if so how did you get there ,did you take bikes with you mate
Yep came out 21 years ago for work. 🏴
Wicked ride and commentary mate 👍 I just picked up a new 890 yesterday, and im finding it awesome. Was a bit nervous, due to the cam issues some guys are having but KTM is throwing in a 4 year warranty at the moment, so that got team pumpkin over the line. I rkn the engine braking can be adjusted through the electronics some how. Cheers for sharing 🍻
Nice one mate enjoy. Thanks for the comments
Awesome Burnsie!
Hey Craig, i have ridden with you a few years back and worked at VA with your brother. There are 6 of us who are doing same trip and our bikes were picked up yesterday to be taken to Perth. Leaving Perth 30 May to head up to Steep Point. Let us know your plans, and we may catch up? Also planning to catch the Finke.
Hey John yes I remember you mate. That’s mad coincidence, we are leaving Perth 28th May and yes will be watching the Finke. You doing the madigan line too? Yes a catch up for sure. 👍
@@HardEnduroAddict Craig we are still tweaking route, we are not planning to do the Madigan track. We plan to be at Overlander for 2 nights, after leaving Perth. Then we will go out and back to Steep Point and stay second night at Overlander. Three of the boys are doing Simpson 2x Yamaha T7 and 1x DR 650, personally I ain't doing Simpson as did it a few years back like you guys on a DRZ. The 3 other's of us don't fancy taking a fully loaded T7's into Simpson. We will go South from Mt Dare and come up Birdsville track and meet the guys there. Hopefully at some point we catch up out there?
@scozziejohn4339 yep we might see you at overlander or in finke I’d say. Will keep an eye out. DM me your number mate and will keep in touch.
sent you a linked in request and will send you my number through that mate.
I will follow these vids with great interest. I have planed the same trip organized for around April 2025 on a 950adv. However i will be riding over to Perth from Sydney given the Nulabour is on the bucket list. All the best fellas.
follow me on insta and facebook mate, same name for live updates, the vids take a while to come out, cheers
Dont need a water boy do ya ? haha
Massive adventure , good luck mate , looks awesome
Awesome and will be thinking of you both! Safe travels.
Thank you! Will do!
Epic ride. Look forward to following this one. Goodluck lads 🍻🍻
Crazy man….
Looking forward to it
King of Fuss!!!!! 😅😅😅
Maybe deputy King 😂😂
Wow, looks great. Looking forward to the extended version!
Fantastic views!!
Fiji looks wicked. I spoke to Jase a while back, and Im trying to organise a crew for this ride. How many days riding did you do mate, and where did you stay ?
We did the full 3 day tour and stayed in an air BnB house and hired a car. I will be staying in the Marriott next time though closer to bike HQ and not any need for a car.
Your persistence is admirable 👍
Love this series. Well narrated and very entertaining. Well done fellas, I wouldn’t be able to sit on a DRZ for that long. My ass aches thinking about it.
Cheers mate. I spent on a nice comfy seat well worth it 👌thanks for watching
Great video mate I did it 2 years ago and yes mt dare has the best steaks I've ever had.
Well done 👍
Great video, thanks. Did the same trip Mt Dare to Birdsville last year but took very few photos so it was great to see your videos, brings back lots of good memories. I got to Birdsville with 1.5 litres left, used 36.5, riding hard to keep up with my partner.
Nice one mate well done it’s a great trip. Thanks for watching
I am waiting for your next episode. Keen to see how much fuel you used.
Just binged on the series. I hope to do it one day, I can’t get enough of watching Simpson crossings. Your narration is very enjoyable, partly as you sound like my dad long gone. Looking forward to part 11
Thanks for watching mate.
"Who rides a 2-stroke across the desert"- ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TWICE!!!!!!!!!! 🤙
I knew there’d be one 😂😂 nice work. Unsupported? What bike?
Na supported we saw you last year 👍
ha just watched your vid on the trip, nice work
Love watching the trip! Great work! Hanging out for next episode!
i crossed on my drz400e solo unsupported in november 43c temp two 6hr days. i was glad i had the 28l tank for weight distribution 30l on the front 10l on the back plus 12l of water and gear. used 34.6l of fuel, zero issues, apart from being a bit hot i thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nice one mate, that is hot haha
Looks tough mate, how many litres of water did you end up using?
Hey mate. I reckon 10. Not enough really in the heat, didn’t help with the 2 burst bladders. With the fuel and water mate take smaller multiple bladders not single big ones.
Awesome video mate. The washing machine is relentless. I was starting to think wtf am I doing this for towards the end of that section. But once the fuel, water and food loads got lighter it all got easier. Cheers for sharing 🍻
Cheers mate glad you like it
Another great ep mate, love the commentary and how awesome that you’ve been riding together for 2 decades! I’m planning to tackle the Simpson in August this year, hoping it’s not that hot haha 🤞
Cheers Josh
Might see you in there!!
Like an orange ballerina - love it. Respect to both of you.
7:04 not actually at the corner there look it up it's 20 meters out
Not to sound funny, but on here the normal hole saw looks like its being drilled in reverse..........................
The hole saw works best in reverse for the mousses. Running forward it grabs and rips it to bits. Obviously with the mousse drill bit it doesn’t matter what way it cuts. Cheers
That's cool, makes sense, thank you for the reply @@HardEnduroAddict
What GPS you running burnsy?
Garmin Montana mate. Had it for years solid 👌
@HardEnduroAddict thanks mate. Good series. Getting me pumped for July
Simpler mod is to get a battery with higher Cold Cranking Amps CCA. I bought a JMT lithium battery straight swap. Worked great 4me. Original battery was 50cca. New battery 120 cca. Many hours in...
Putting bar risers on my KLX400e I had to spend a lot of time mucking around with rerouting the cable to make shore I had the most slack at full lock I could get. Which turned out to be only just.
Would you consider taking a lighter load if you were to do it again? The bikes looked top heavy. Thanks for sharing, cheers. ps, that's not criticism, just a question ;)
Thanks mate. We are doing it again this year, honestly for me it was great once I got used to it. Pato will be making some changes with his setup for better balance and less top and front heavy yes. Next episode should have more on this. We couldn’t really take much less stuff we were on minimums.
@@HardEnduroAddict Look forward to the next episode. Cheers
Absolutely love your attitude at the begining which puts me off any thoughts about any possible upcoming negative comments. Stay tuned for my next comment once I watch the rest of the video.
Loved the episode mate, looking forward to the rest of the series!
Funny that mate I was just watching you on the apprentice adventurer channel. Small world in UA-cam ha. Cheers
Haha it sure is!@@HardEnduroAddict
Loving it mate keep it up 🤙🤯
Funny stuff👍😂
Who did you use for bike transport?
Grassroots organised it mate.
Boeing 777 engine vs Boeing 737 engine
Hi there Guys, So I just did the 24V "upgrade" using the Anti GRavity 801 and 401, and everything works very well, however it seems like I burn the starter motor real quick, how do you guys get around this challenge.
